Introduction, Scott Sherman '91

Join us for a conversation with Harvard University and Harvard Law School Professor Annette Gordon-Reed '84, Legal Scholar, Historian, and Pulitzer Prize Winning Author.

Topics will include her recent book On Juneteenth, published earlier this year on the eve of the federal government’s recognition of June 19 as a national holiday, and her perspective as both an American Legal Historian and a Texas native on the import of this uniquely Texas event (June 19, 1865, Galveston, TX) and the arc of her decades-long scholarship in this field.
